The last day of school – for many, it’s just a day to sit through the final hours, take a few photos, and look forward to the holidays. But for me, it was so much more. It turned into a truly special event that not only brought me joy, but also helped me discover something new about myself.
On that day, a group of students including myself had the amazing opportunity to film and photograph engineers and professors – a real media project! I was completely in my element. I grabbed my camera, adjusted the focus, and got to work. It was exciting to watch these professionals do what they love and to try to capture their passion for science and technology through our lenses.
One of my favorite parts of the day was watching my love Oona as she was taking photos, too. I felt so proud seeing how focused and professional she was. She did an amazing job, and it was inspiring to work alongside her. We motivated and supported each other throughout the day, and I think that really showed in the results.
At the end of the event, I received some of the best feedback I could imagine: teachers and fellow students told me I have a real talent for photography and that I work extremely well in a team. That made me genuinely happy. It’s such a great feeling when your work is noticed and appreciated.
So, in the end, this last school day wasn’t just about saying goodbye – it also felt like the beginning of something new. I realized how much I enjoy working with media and how passionate I am about creative teamwork. Maybe this is a path I want to explore even further in the future.
Big thanks to everyone who made this day possible – and to Oona, for sharing the experience and bringing such good energy to our work!
