Recently, I had the chance to take part in a special school project with some fellow students and teachers. We traveled together to another school where a big event was about to take place. The event was set to host engineers, professors, and guests from different countries. Our job? To document the entire event using professional video and photography equipment.
The preparation itself was already quite exciting. We brought along all kinds of gear – video cameras, photo cameras, microphones, and more. Once we arrived, we set up the equipment in the school’s auditorium, placing everything carefully so we could capture the stage, the speakers, and the audience clearly the next day.
Our teachers divided us into groups based on different tasks. Some students were in charge of filming with the video cameras, others were assigned to take photos, and some focused on sound or general organization. I was placed in the camera group – together with two of the most attractive siblings I’ve ever met (no joke!). That definitely made things a little more fun.
All in all, the preparation was intense but super interesting. It’s not every day you get the chance to experience an event from a technical and creative point of view – and especially not with such a great team!
